MiniMove and OpenSunday

From October to March, on Sunday afternoons, the gyms open their doors and transform into play areas for children of various ages thanks to two initiatives—MiniMove (ages 0 to 5) and OpenSunday (ages 6 to 11)—jointly organized by the Divisione Socialità (Division of Social Affairs) and the IdéeSport Foundation, with the collaboration and financial support of local associations and groups.

MiniMove

It wants to provide an opportunity for preschoolers (0-5 years old) to move and play together and, for their parents, to have a meeting place and coffee corner where they can socialize. A kind of large indoor playground where a multicultural team of adults and young people prepare various activities suitable for the child(ren).

Participation is free of charge, no registration is necessary, and a healthy snack is offered to everyone during the afternoon.

Where: Besso primary school gym (Scuola elementare di Besso).

When: from 13 October 2024 to 16 March 2025 every Sunday (excluding school vacations) from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

OpenSunday

It aims to provide children ages 6 to 11 with access to recreational spaces and activities that promote movement. In fact, the gym is presented as the best place to find tools and opportunities for play, recreation and socialization. Girls and boys are supervised by youth (junior coaches) and adults (project leader and senior coaches) and, mid-afternoon, are offered a balanced snack.

Participation is free and no registration is necessary.

Where: Molino Nuovo primary school gym (Scuola elementare di Molino Nuovo).

When: from 13 October 2024 to 16 March 2025 every Sunday (excluding school vacations) from 2 PM to 5 PM.
