Neighbours’ Day 2025

Neighbors' Day is an annual international initiative that aims to foster neighborhood solidarity, fight social isolation, and strengthen social cohesion within a community.

First established in Paris in 1999, the Neighbors' Day has quickly spread to many cities around the world, including Lugano, where over the years various events have animated the City's neighborhoods.

Our invitation to the whole population, the real protagonists of this initiative, is to rediscover the neighborly ties and sense of community by organizing together convivial moments in their buildings, streets or neighborhoods.

In Lugano, the 2025 edition is scheduled for Friday, May 23. Once again the City is collaborating with the Municipality of Massagno.

How does it work?

Choose a venue and inform the Divisione Socialità ([email protected] – 058 866 74 57) about your event.

Download the posters and invitations from the section below or request them when you register.

Distribute the invitations in your neighbours’ letterboxes.

Please note that the City of Lugano provides organisers with a “kit festa” that can be requested from Divisione Socialità.

Now… all that remains is for you to celebrate!
