Tassino Park
Located on a hill near the Lugano SBB Station, Tassino Park offers ample grassy spaces from which visitors can enjoy a stunning panorama of the entire city.
In the upper section of the park stands the Enderlin Tower, named after the family to whom the park once belonged. In the square in front of the tower, stone tables and benches allow visitors to rest in the shade of centuries-old trees.
Florida Park
Opening days and hours
- Summer: 7:00 AM - 11:00 PM
- Winter: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Nestled among modern buildings, patrician villas, and renowned hotels, on the gentle slope stretching from Loreto to Lugano’s lakeside, lies an oasis of peace: Florida Park, owned by the City.
Although not particularly large, with a total area of 5,200 m², its greatest asset lies in its location.
The park is situated between Via Mazzini and Via Gaggini. It has two entrances: the lower entrance, which also features the renovated porter’s lodge housed in the annex of the former Villa Rosita, and the upper entrance, boasting a magnificent wrought-iron gate of high artistic value as its calling card.
Belvedere Garden
Along the promenade that runs by the lake from Lugano to Paradiso, opposite LAC - Lugano Arte e Cultura, you’ll find the Belvedere Garden, which covers an area of 11,000 m².
The grassy surface is enriched with plants, shrubs, and flowers, including olive trees, camellias, oleanders, and magnolias. Here and there, ancient trees of subtropical origin rise majestically.
