Opened in 2002, the Skatepark, located within the Centro Sportivo Cornaredo, is a popular place for young people.

The infrastructure, the result of collaboration between local skateboarders and the Divisione Sport, has steadily evolved and is now equipped with:

  • a bowl area: 542 m² total (horizontal projection) of concrete consisting of 2 mini plug-in bowls with a high mushroom extension, a hip, 2 medium bowls and a vert bowl
  • a street area with walls, benches, stairs and ramps

There is also a dedicated skate shop and a central facility with a bar, bathrooms, and a terrace.

The Skatepark has hosted several national and international level competitions such as the Swiss championship, Vans Off the Wall and the classic Lugano contest, organized every year.

Skate courses

The Joker Skate School is the only skate school in Canton Ticino. Run by skaters who have been practicing the sport for several years, including at a professional level, it aims to introduce young people to the discipline and to perfect the level of those who already have a foundation, in a gradual, fun and safe way.

Several options are offered:

  • private or group courses
  • skateboard and/or helmet rental
  • in street, bowl, ramps courses
