Rates and Parkingpay
In the city there are several options for parking your car in municipal parking garages / parking areas with a barrier and municipal parking areas with parking meters (single or collective).
You can pay via smartphone with TWINT or Parkingpay.
Daytime rate (7 AM - 7 PM):
- first half hour free
- first hour of parking: CHF 2.-
- after the first hour of parking: CHF 1.- every 30 minutes up to 3 hours of parking
- after 3 hours of parking: CHF 4.- per hour
- from 12 to 24 hours of parking: CHF 43.-
Night rate (7 PM - 7 AM):
- CHF 1.- per hour of parking
Loss of voucher:
- CHF 43.-
Payment is required on weekdays, including Monday to Saturday, from 7 AM to 7 PM.
Parking spaces with maximum parking time of 90 minutes:
- CHF 1.- per 30 minutes
Parking spaces with maximum parking time of two hours:

In the City of Lugano there are also several private car parks (BettyDo, San Giuseppe, FFS Posteggio Sud, Migros) with their own tariffs.

Authorizations and concessions
Residents and businesses can apply for a permit to park in municipal parking areas:
