LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura

LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura is a strong institution, an essential part of the social fabric in which it was born. It is an internationally oriented cultural center attentive to the community, where the true protagonists are performing arts, music, and visual arts.

Founded in 2015 as a meeting place for different artistic disciplines, LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura, the multidisciplinary cultural center of the City of Lugano, has in just a few years transformed the face of the city where it was established, becoming an indispensable point of reference and earning a place on the national and international cultural map.

LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura curates the season of performing arts, including theater, dance, and music; starting in 2024, it also manages the classical music program. Complementing and enriching its artistic offerings are the residencies of the Orchestra della Svizzera italiana and the Finzi Pasca Company, as well as the extensive exhibition program of the Museo d’arte della Svizzera italiana.

LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura also stands out for its strong social commitment and community engagement, offering numerous initiatives for dialogue and in-depth exploration open to all, as well as a cultural mediation program, LAC edu, which organizes hundreds of activities every year for audiences of all ages.
