- welfare benefits (PA)
The Sportello LAPS mandate is governed by a benefits contract with the Canton of Ticino (Istituto delle assicurazioni sociali).

How to apply for benefits
To submit a LAPS benefits request, applicants need to visit the UIS-Ufficio intervento sociale desk.
At the desk, an operator will review the applicant's economic and family situation and assist in gathering the necessary documents to activate the application.
Once all documentation is complete, an appointment will be scheduled to submit the application to the cantonal offices, which are responsible for the formal decision.
