Great attendance at the New Year 2025 ceremony

Great public participation marked the New Year's celebrations organized by the City of Lugano on 1 January 2025 at the Palazzo dei Congressi. The event, designed to welcome the new year in a spirit of sharing and festivity, was attended by numerous citizens who enthusiastically took part in all the activities offered.

The day began with a parade starting from Piazza della Riforma, which crossed the heart of the city before arriving at the Palazzo dei Congressi. After the greeting from the Mayor, Michele Foletti, who paid tribute to the Corpo Civici Pompieri and the Corpo dei Volontari Luganesi, the Civica Filarmonica delivered moments of great emotion with its concert.

The ceremony continued in the amphitheater hall, filled with spectators, where the guest of honor, FC Lugano's coach, Mattia Croci-Torti, joined the Mayor in an open and engaging dialogue moderated by RSI journalist Davide Riva. Between anecdotes and reflections, the New Year’s wishes for 2025 resonated warmly among those present.

Other artistic and musical moments were not lacking, captivating the audience's attention and applause. The young talents from the Scuola di Musica and the Dipartimento Pre-College del Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana, the violin-guitar duo Anton Jablokov & Stefano Moccetti, and the RMT Hip Hop Crew from the MAT Artistic Center delivered high-level performances, contributing to an unforgettable atmosphere.

The event concluded with a convivial moment: a generous refreshment allowed participants to exchange New Year's greetings in a festive and friendly atmosphere.

The event was a success in every aspect, confirming itself as a must-attend gathering for the Lugano community and an ideal way to start 2025.
