Interview with Ele A

Eleonora Antonini, known artistically as Ele A, smiles and hesitates a little when asked to describe herself. Her fans would agree that she doesn’t really need to: her musical talent speaks for itself. Born in 2002 in Sorengo and the daughter of conservatory teachers, Ele A has been sharing her music for four years and is now one of the brightest voices in Lugano rap—and beyond.

She ended her "Acqua Tour" tour with a bang, lighting up stages all over Europe. Coming back home was the crowning moment of an incredible journey that cemented her talent in the rap scene. With the EP "Acqua" she showed the world her ambition, transforming her Lugano roots into lyrics that transcend borders.

During our interview before the concert, Ele A told us how her bond with her hometown is an endless source of inspiration. Her lyrics, initially written in her bedroom, talk about Lugano and her experiences in Aranno. She still gets emotional when the audience sings her lyrics back to her during concerts. And she loves performing in Lugano, especially at the FOCE, a special place with a unique meaning for her.

Her relationship with the city is that of someone who has truly lived it, not just visited. A genuine and profound bond, which has evolved over time but remains indelible. "Lugano gave me the inspiration to start writing, and every time I come back here, I feel a special energy," she told us.

Ele A has a clear vision for her future: to take her voice, her lyrics, and her authenticity to audiences around the world. To tell stories that are about her but also about her roots, as rap does best. However, Ele A is not just a rapper for her fans; she is a voice that gives shape to an entire generation’s dreams and aspirations.
