Recreation area

Not far from the core of Brè lies a beautiful recreation area. At the center of a large meadow, there is a playground with a fountain, several grills, wooden tables under a canopy, and facilities.

The area is close to the woods, very quiet, and surrounded by greenery: it is ideal for barbecues and picnics. The view stretches over the Gulf of Lugano, Monte San Salvatore, and the various branches of Lake Ceresio.

From the recreation area, the core of Brè and the summit of the mountain (933 m) can be reached within a few minutes.
The Brè recreation area can be accessed by car or by the funicular, which takes about 15 minutes from Cassarate to the summit. The area is a few minutes’ walk from the funicular station. It is also accessible by bus via Line 12 of Trasporti Pubblici Luganesi TPL (Lugano Public Transport).
