Tasks and activities

The Legal Affairs Division is responsible for:

  • providing legal advice and support to the City Council, the City Parliament, and the Administration services
  • managing contentious procedures, particularly in the field of administrative law
  • drafting agreements and contracts
  • drafting permits and authorizations
  • managing and updating municipal legislation
  • drafting regulations and ordinances
  • managing violation procedures
  • drafting opinions, reports, and legal advice
  • managing and collaborating in Public tender procedures

Activities

  • centralizes information regarding potential bidders and those who may generally be considered for a public contract
  • ensures the correct application of legal provisions and collaborates with the Services in the awarding phases of a public contract
  • manages procedures related to the disposal or rental of municipal properties and those related to competitions outlined in the Legge organica comunale LOC (Municipal Organic Law)
