This is the largest inter-professional trade union in Switzerland and is comprised of 4 sectors: crafts, constructions, industry and the tertiary.

UNIA arises from the merging together of 3 trade unions: the SEI (the constructions and industrial trade union) the FCTA (Swiss federation of workers in the sectors of trade, transportation and food) and the FLMO (trade union of industry, construction and services).
