Home care service of Luganese (SCuDo)
From January 1, 2000 the Service Home Care of the Luganese, the newly formed SCuDo Association, noted the work done previously by two separate consortia: domiciliary aid Consortium and the maternal pediatric Consortium. The purpose of the Association, which is based in Lugano, is to allow the stay at home to people who face illness, injury, disability, maternity, old age or socio-familial difficulties. The Association SCuDo offers to people in the District of Lugano, assistance, basic care, as well as provision of domiciliary aid.
The SCuDo was created in accordance with the law on assistance and home care (LACD) adopted on December 16, 1999 and entered into force on January 1, 2000. For parents is also an active consulting service parent and child – already known as prophylactic Consortium, pediatric and maternal – which provide free advice in the early years of the child's life.
The presence of qualified staff helps parents solve everyday problems, answering questions on nutrition, hygiene and education. For a consultation by telephone simply dial the No. +41 91 973 18 27 from Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 09:30.
In the Luganese the intervention areas of the SCuDo are five: Lugano, Pregassona-Viganello, Massagno, Paradiso and Tesserete.
