The Club del Centro (or Town Centre Club) which was founded in 1977, underscores among its objectives the safeguard, animation and development of the centre of the City of Lugano. Among the first activities it gave rise to was the small train that went around Ciani Park and the slogans “Lugano the City of my Heart” and “Lugano I love you”.

In the course of the years the Club has become larger and larger and today it has a long list of members, who meet once a month to promote animation activities in the city centre.
