Beginning of the school year
In all schools, classes begin on Monday, 2 September 2024, with the exception of vocational schools.
School vacations
School vacations are established as follows; initial and terminal days are included:
- fall vacations: from 26 October to 3 November 2024
- Christmas vacations: from 21 December 2024 to 6 January 2025
- Carnival vacations: from 1 March to 9 March 2025
- Easter vacations: from 18 April to 27 April 2025
Public holidays
In Ticino are public holidays:
- Wednesday, 19 March 2025: St. Joseph's Day
- Thursday, 1 May 2025: Labor Day
- Thursday, 29 May 2025: Ascension Day
- Monday, 9 June 2025: Whit Monday
The following are also vacations: Friday, 20 December 2024; Tuesday, 7 January 2025; Friday, 2 May 2025; and Friday, 30 May 2025.
End of the school year
In all schools, classes end on Wednesday, 18 June 2025, with the exception of vocational schools.
