At the beginning of 2020, the project for the creation of a public square and the arrangement of approximately 40 parking spaces serving the Carabbia core was selected.

The City Council of Lugano ratified the jury's decision to award the 1st prize to the "carà" project by the team composed of Wespi-De Meuron-Romeo Architetti from Caviano (Gambarogno) and the engineering firm Passera e Associati from Lugano.
